Our Doctor
Dr Rakesh Parikh is a well known Diabetologist (Diabetes Doctor) exclusively treating patients of diabetes in Jaipur. He is a fellow of American College of Endocrinology (USA), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay. He has been trained at the prestigious Seth G S Medical College and K E M Hospital, Mumbai as a student of Diploma Diabetology.
Dr Rakesh Parikh is one of the few diabetes doctors in Jaipur who have been contributing equally well in clinical research. He has been a part of numerous research studies in patients suffering from type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes, metabolic syndrome etc.
He has authored a number chapters in medical textbooks and has around 50 publications to his credit. “Index of Central Obesity” and “Parikh’s Formula to calculate EDD” are his published innovations. He is on editorial board and is a regular reviewer on number of medical journals. In addition to being member of number of medical organizations, he has delivered over 100 lectures on Diabetes in various medical education programs and conferences. He is the recipient of prestigious National Science Fellowship by Govt of India.
